Infant Krishna Stories for Your Wall

Are you a Krishna devotee? Would you like to decorate your home with toddler Krishna paintings? Here is a beautiful painting by Raja Ravi Varma portraying the story of Krishna showing ‘Vishwarup’ to his mother.

About this painting – In this painting, Ravi Varma describe a memorable evening at Gokul. It was the day lord Krishna revealed who he really was to his mother Yashoda.

Krishna and Balarama likes to play in the dirt. One day, being a naughty toddler, Krishna eats some mud. When Yashoda learns about this, she becomes furious and ties Krishna to a grinding stone. She asks him whether he had eaten any mud. Krishna says no. Then Yashoda orders him to opening his mouth, so that she can confirm. When Krishna opened his mouth, Yashoda saw viswaroop – the Seven Oceans, vast expanse of the entire Universe and Narayana seated upon Adishesha with his beloved consort Mahalakshmi. Yashoda panics and faints. And that’s the context of this painting.
