Krishna Stories to Decorate Your Wall

Would you like to decorate your walls with stories of Krishna? Do you remember the stories of Krishna from his childhood days — the golden period of Krishna’s life when he was raised by Yashodha. That’s the backdrop of this painting.

About this painting – In this painting Raja Ravi Varma beautifully portrays Yashoda’s motherly love towards Krishna. Even though, Yashodha was not his biological mother, she was very affectionate towards Krishna. She took care of him like her own child. This painting gives us a glimpse of one such day in Krishna’s life.

We can see young Krishna sitting on lap of Yashoda with a ball of butter in his left hand. Yashoda with her motherly and caring expression is looking at his playfulness. The other woman depicted in the painting is believed to be a fruit seller who was Krishna’s frequent playmate of at Gokul.
